Kara Frans, Photographer
Kara Frans Photography

My photographic life started when I took a class with the fabulous Kenneth Shorr at the University of Arizona.  I credit him and his teaching assistant, for teaching me to see over the years.  It was during those wonderful darkroom classes that followed, that I learned taking a photograph wasn't always about your subjects.  It was about light and composition.  It was about how to turn a mundane object into an engaging and thought-provoking piece of art.

My approach to working with clients has always been to have fun at all my sessions.  Whether at your wedding or your family session at my studio or local park, I bring energy and laughter to every shoot.  We will have a fantastic time - I promise.  I want your kids to feel at ease throughout the session, with parents feeling good about being there.  I want to make your wedding as stress-free as possible, bringing my years of experience balanced with being able to capture tender moments between families and friends.

I want to capture you so you can remember this small sliver in time.  To me, there is nothing like a photograph to look back on that takes you back to that exact moment.  I want you to remember the people around you, their voices and faces.  And, remember the feeling you had when you were pronounced husband and wife, or when your kids actually gave genuine smiles instead of their cheesy grins.

It is these kinds of memories that keep me going in the photography world.  To document and give back those memories.  When I'm 80, I want to be able to hold an image in my hand of my child, and remember when she was first born, her first day of kindergarden, or her first dance.

Carmen Linder, CEO
Gotta Have S'More

Carmen Lindner, founder and CEO of Gotta Have S’more, entered the kitchen at the age of 33.  She’d never really been into baking before, but she had an idea.  You know, one of those that comes to you at 3 AM, keeps you up the rest of the night, and that you can’t stop thinking about from then on.

The s’more, a sense of adventure and a bent for taking action were the inspiration that took her to the store to buy sugar and butter, items that were not formerly staples in her pantry.  Not being at home in the kitchen, she didn’t know the rules, so experimentation was what ruled.  Shortly thereafter, Gotta Have S’more and the S’muffin were born.  After a little tiff and makeup session with her husband, Ben, Gotta Have S’more Amore was added to the family.  And when Carmen was throwing a baby shower for a girlfriend, S’muffin-inspired Favors were the obvious choice.

Carmen isn’t a big dessert person, actually.  But S’muffins got her excited in a way that no other dessert had.  They’re the perfect size and shape to satisfy a sweet tooth (whether you knew you had one or not).  Once you try them, you will wonder how you survived for so long without them.

Lisa Vitale , Realtor, Blogger
Shorewood Realty

Lisa is a Los Angeles native, born and raised, who loves to read, write, socialize, spend time with family and friends, and spends a lot of time on the computer. She’s been committed to the same man for over 25 years, married almost 14 of those years. They have great kids, 5-year-old boy/girl twins. The kids attend a co-op preschool and she loves being involved with that community.

Lisa has been a Realtor for 10 years. Her exposure to real estate started after a career transition in 1992. She spent the next 9 years working for two different multi-million dollar real estate investment companies.
During those 9 years she found the residential side of the business more interesting, allowing her to deal more with people rather than numbers. So in 2000 she decided to turn this interest into a career, and transitioned from commercial into residential, getting her license in 2001.

Lisa is very passionate about helping people achieve their real estate dreams. She assists her clients with transactions from less than $ $300,000 to several million dollars. Her valuable people skills, and professionalism under pressure can help to make any transaction a smoother, happier experience. Lisa is also loving her newest adventure of blogging, and learning to use social media to get out there, in front of people, and network. She’s guessing this will organically grow into so much more, and is excited about it.
